The reason I don't like Dark Escape and Divine Spirit is because of their huge recharge. If DE was 20 or even 25s recharge, I could see myself using it, but currently it just doesn't seem efficient. Same with DS; most of the time I've got it on I feel like I'm just spamming skills for the hell of it, not because I actually need them. IMO, passive energy management such as GoLE and DS has kind of lost its appeal, at least on a monk, simply because they force you to use spells when you might not have actually needed them.

PnH is on about 30% of monks - a good monk with PnH will be much more frustrating than a good monk with WoH, mainly because your Necromancer hexes don't work anymore.

The PnH build has big heals and big hex removal. Of course, against concentrated melee pressure, it might collapse, but the same goes for WoH against hexes and conditions.

I don't know about vig spirit on a PnH bar...I think you'd use Shield Bash instead.
IMO, WoH is much more frustrating to fight against, since I generally play physical characters. Yeah, PnH counter necros and mesmers, and maybe assassins, but most other professions are handled much better by a WoH. I don't have too much of problems with hexes while running two hex removals, and feel much less pressure from melees with WoH's big heal.

But playing from a physical's perspective, I haven't yet seen a PnH that I've felt was preventing me from doing my job. To me it just doesn't have enough red-bar-up to compete with the huge pressure wars and dervs can put out.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize about the double post.
